First Impressions: My Experience Buying and Trying the New O Face Satin Lipstick from ELF Cosmetics

Ready to turn up the volume on your pout? Check out my review of ELF Cosmetics’ new O Face Lipstick, where I share my first-hand experience of buying and trying these bold new shades!

For my birthday this year, I bought 5 of Elf Cosmetics’ new O Face lipsticks, and as a birthday gift from ELF, I received the Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette – Nude Rose Gold for free. My order came up to over €40 and as a result, I got free shipping and 3 free gifts. My free gifts were the Bite-Size lip balm, the Blemish Breakthrough Serum Mini, and the Blemish Breakthrough Water Cream Mini.

*I received a free birthday gift because I am part of their Beauty Squad and have PRO Status.

Here are the lipstick shades I bought:

This shade is called Do Not Disturb it is described as a Mahogany color.

    Reference number #81792

This shade is called Me, Myself, and I it is described as an Intense Orange Brown color.

    Reference number #81784

This shade is called Shameless it is described as a Pink Plum color.

    Reference number #81791

This shade is called LoudAF it is described as a Bright Fuschia color.

    Reference number #81783

This shade is called Smolder it is described as a Plum color.

    Reference number #81788

I love all my lipsticks and am really considering getting even more I find the shades Do Not Disturb and Me, Myself, and I to be very similar, I honestly can’t tell the difference when I am wearing either of them. Here’s a little collage of me wearing some of the lipsticks, I did not include Do Not Disturb, I will try to take a picture later and compare it to Me, Myself, and I, so you can see for yourself how alike they are. The lipsticks are retailed at €10.

Here’s the Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette – Nude Rose Gold I got for free, it usually sells for €11, it’s highly pigmented and I don’t experience a lot of fallout when using it, the fun thing about this palette is that you can use the eyeshadows as a liner, on the lid as you usually would, or in the crease of the eye. I have only used it on the lid and in the crease of the eye, I just might give using it as a liner a try.

Here are the other free gifts I received with my purchase, first is the Bite-Size lip balm in the shade of Watermelon, when I first started using it I was not a fan of the shape but it has grown on me, it can easily fit into my small handbag and I love that it gives me a nice pink tint on my lips, I also don’t find it drying like some of the other lip balms I’ve used, my lips easily stay hydrated even hours after applying. The Bite-Size lip balm is retailed at €5.

Next is the Blemish Breakthrough Triple-Acid Resurfacing Serum in Mini size, I don’t really have much to say about this product, it’s a night serum intended for acne-prone skin and I don’t usually have acne issues only around my menstrual cycle so I can’t really speak on the benefits of this product. I used it once or twice while I was suffering from an acne breakout and didn’t really notice a difference in my skin. You can pick up this mini serum for €6.

Here’s the last product I received for free, the Blemish Breakthrough Calming Water Cream in Mini size, this is a lightweight blemish-fighting moisturizer, like the serums it is intended for acne-prone skin. It is used to help treat and prevent acne, also like the serum I only used it once or twice and did not notice any improvement to my skin but then again I am not really the intended user of this line. I have occasional acne and I’m sure it might work much better for someone with acne issues that I don’t have. The mini moisturizer is retailed at €8.

For my second order from ELF here in France I am well and truly satisfied, the lipsticks are amazing and I love them, the lip balm was a happy surprise, the eyeshadow palette was a wonderful birthday present, and while I don’t really have a need for the blemish products I am pleased to have them on hand whenever I will need them in the future.

And what about you my reader? Have you tried any of Elf Cosmetics’ new O Face lipsticks? What did you think of them? Let me know in the comments.
