I’ve been on the hunt for a strawberry cheesecake perfume for what feels like forever, but no matter how much I search, I can never seem to find one here in France at a decent price. Every time I think I’ve found a good option, it’s either unavailable, ridiculously expensive, or just doesn’t quite capture that creamy, fruity sweetness I’m looking for.
So now I’m curious, what exactly are the notes in Yum Boujee Marshmallow?

Top Notes: Pink Lady Apple, Italian Lemon, Freesia, Nectarine Blossom
Heart Notes: Orange Blossom Water, Pink Marshmallow, Strawberry, Coconut Flakes
Base Notes: Whipped Vanilla, Raspberry Sugar, Pink Musk, Ambrox, KAYALI Signature Accord
I know, Yum Boujee Marshmallow isn’t a strawberry cheesecake scent, but when I saw the announcement for it, I just knew I had to try it. It’s definitely a splurge, but I had a little birthday money to treat myself and this was the gift that I chose! On top of that, Huda Beauty sent me a 10% birthday discount, and I thought, If this isn’t a sign, then what is? I used the discount and my birthday funds and got myself a gift I absolutely loved.
This isn’t my first Kayali perfume Vanilla | 28 was my intro into the brand, and I adore it. Like Vanilla, Boujee Marshmallow doesn’t have the best longevity, but honestly, I don’t mind reapplying. There’s something about experiencing that first spray and the dry-down all over again that just makes me happy.
I went for the 50ml bottle, and the opening is a little tart at first but then you start to get those soft, fluffy marshmallow notes mingling with that sweet, almost creamy warmth. It gives me a good feeling to be honest. The dry down brings out the rich gourmand base that I love. When I fall for a new scent, I tend to wear it nonstop and neglect my older favorites… but I’ve been pacing myself with this one, partly because I don’t want to run out too fast—especially at that price!
The longevity of this perfume surprised me, it lasts longer than I expected for such a soft fragrance, and it layers beautifully over a simple lotion or cream without being cloying. I can admit it might come off as synthetic to some people but I honestly don’t get that, it still smells like a real ccreamy dessert to me.

Right now, I’m rotating between Boujee Marshmallow, Vanilla | 28, L’Interdit Rouge, and The Scent Elixir Intense for Her. I’ve also been reaching for This is Her! Undressed and Alien Goddess Intense, sometimes layering them with a touch of Chloé Hysope for an extra twist.
I’m currently on the lookout for good layering companions for Boujee Marshmallow, not necessarily more perfumes, but things like body lotions, oils, or serums that will complement the scent and make it last longer. I’d love to build a really lush, cozy layer that helps it linger a little more but I’m not having much lucking finding anything I like or is available near me. I really don’t want to order online but if I must I might have to do that.
So I have some questions, have you tried this perfume? If you have, what was your thoughts on it? Also do you have any suggestions on Marshmallow body wash and/or body lotion?
