The Dove Family

Hello, my name is Lyly, and welcome to My Funny Sim Life!

I started playing the Sims in 2009 when my youngest brother bought me Sims 3 for the Playstation 3. I’ve always wanted to play the games but my parents never wanted to buy them. It wasn’t an appropriate game in their opinion.

When I moved away internationally in 2015 the Sims 4 had already been out for a year and I begged and pleaded with my husband to buy it for me which he did. I had great fun creating legacies and just playing with random Sims but my most favorite aspect was trying to create myself and my family. I was never able to get the hair quite right since I have naturally curly coily hair but in recent years Maxis has added more Natural hair options to the game and I found some good Natural hair custom content and I think I have finally created a Sim Self that I can be pleased with.

We got Married!

Sim Lyly and Sim Marv got married on September 3, 2021.

Sim Marv and I recently got married! We were already married but I wanted to try out this Bohemian wedding dress from DanSimsFantasy, I saw it on TheSimsResource and I instantly fell in love with it so I made a new save just to get married again.

Look at it, is it not perfection?

As for the actual wedding, it was a complete disaster, the venue I used did not come with a kitchen so we did to get a cake and my Sim was completely stressed complete with being fatigued and needing to pee. At least my family was there, all my brothers, sisters, sister-in-law, and parents. I did not make my nieces, I’m really sorry! I just did not have the time to create everyone.

I honestly had a hard time choosing a hairstyle to wear with this gorgeous dress, I just could not find a curly up do that would have been similar to my own hair texture.

And She felt like one too

In the end I was well pleased with this one and how the overall look came together.

Our Family is Growing!

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Baby Dove number 3 will be arriving soon.

Sim Marv greatly desired another child and he got his wish.

Baby Dove will be arriving very soon and while we already know what gender the baby is we are choosing to keep it a surprise!

Welcome, Phelix!

Lyly and Marv Dove are proud to announce that their new son has been morn on October 28, 2021, at 1:00 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 5 ounces at birth, fairly bigger than his older brother but about the same as his sister. He is 21 inches in length much bigger than both of his siblings.

Mother and baby are doing just fine.

Grandma Luce came by the next day to see the new addition to the family and remarked on how much he looks like Onani when she was that age.

We look forward to seeing the kind of Sim little Phelix turns out to be.

And then we became six…

I haven’t been very active with this blog or online for that matter and for that I apologize, life got really busy, Navi and Onani are in High School, Phelix is in Middle School and I just found out we are adding to the family…again!!

This was a complete surprise and I was to be honest angry at the beginning but I have since accepted that we’ll be having another son and I am trying to figure out what his name will be.

Surprise! It’s Quadir

The surprise baby has finally been born, Lyly opted for a natural birth this time and it took 19 hours for the newest member of the family to make his appearance.

Quadir Dove was born on July 12, 2022, at 9 pm, he weighed 6 lbs and 5 oz, coming in at 20 inches he’s just behind Phelix in length.
