Grâce à Mattel et TryitSampling, ma fille a vécu un Noël en avance !
C’était ma première sélection sur TryitSampling depuis que j’ai été invitée à rejoindre le site en août et je ne savais pas vraiment si je devais choisir quelque chose pour mon fils ou ma fille mais quand j’ai vu cette poupée, j’ai su que mon bébé allait l’adorer et j’avais raison.
La façon dont ses yeux se sont illuminés lorsqu’elle a ouvert la boîte a fait chanter mon cœur, elle a sorti son bébé de la boîte et a proclamé qu’elle n’était plus le bébé parce qu’elle avait un bébé.
Ma fille a porté son bébé partout avec elle et a adoré son nouveau bébé.
La poupée est en fait très jolie, elle est légère donc très facile à transporter, elle est livrée avec un biberon, une tétine, un bol de céréales et une cuillère, et un hochet, les seuls accessoires qui ne sont pas interactifs sont le bol de céréales et le hochet. Avant même de pouvoir profiter de l’interactivité de la poupée, il faut ajouter trois piles AAA à l’arrière de la poupée. Une fois ces piles ajoutées, la poupée pleurera, aspirera, rotera, baillera et jouera des berceuses.
Malheureusement pour ma fille, l’une des berceuses que la poupée joue est Rock A Bye Baby qu’elle déteste absolument, la tête de la poupée peut être inclinée vers l’arrière, où ses yeux se ferment et c’est alors que la berceuse redoutée joue, ma fille pleure chaque fois que cette berceuse particulière est jouée et elle exige que son bébé reste éveillé toute la journée mdr.
J’ai apprécié d’être grand-mère et nous remercions Mattel et TryitSampling de nous avoir permis de tester cette poupée.
Une autre de mes trouvailles sur Amazon était ce rouge à lèvres mat de L’Oréal, je dois dire que je ne suis pas très fan des rouges à lèvres mats mais de temps en temps je suis surprise alors j’ai tenté ma chance avec celui-ci.
Cette teinte particulière est appelée Red avant-garde
J’aime ce rouge à lèvres mais je ne suis pas sûre de l’aimer, certains rouges à lèvres mats peuvent être hydratants mais malheureusement celui-ci n’en fait pas partie, mes lèvres sont très sèches après l’avoir appliqué et j’ajouterais probablement un gloss par-dessus pour que mes lèvres ne soient pas si affreuses. La couleur est belle cependant et il dure longtemps.
La teinte est absolument magnifique et je trouve que l’ajout d’un gloss transparent me fait l’aimer encore plus, donc si vous êtes comme moi et que vous n’êtes pas vraiment fan de la sensation des rouges à lèvres mats sur vos lèvres, vous pouvez absolument ajouter un gloss qui n’enlèvera littéralement rien à la teinte du rouge à lèvres.
Entre vous et moi, il m’arrive d’ajouter un gloss de couleur sur mes rouges à lèvres pour obtenir une nouvelle teinte personnelle.

Ces derniers temps, j’ai trouvé de nombreux produits intéressants sur Amazon et j’ai décidé de partager avec vous ceux que j’aime le plus. Celui que je partage aujourd’hui s’appelle un fondant à lèvres.
Ce produit s’appelle un fondant à lèvres mais il a la consistance d’un gloss, j’ai la teinte appelée 010 Sandalwood et je l’aime vraiment, contrairement à un rouge à lèvres ce fondant à lèvres ne vous donne pas beaucoup de pigmentation c’est juste une touche de couleur et il ne dure pas très longtemps donc si vous aimez réappliquer votre gloss alors cela devrait vous convenir. Il n’est pas du tout desséchant mais très hydratant.
J’ai pris l’habitude de le porter tous les jours, que ce soit pour aller chercher mon fils à l’école, faire du shopping ou sortir dîner, c’est vraiment un beau produit pour les lèvres que l’on peut utiliser en toute occasion.
J’en suis absolument amoureuse et j’envisage sérieusement d’acheter d’autres teintes.

Summer has come and gone so quickly, I thought I was going to accomplish more but life showed me that I shouldn’t make plans for the future.
I meant to post this in early September when the school year had just started but we’re now heading into the fifth week of school and it’s almost October. I’ve been very behind on my blogging, but I’m here to share my update now.
My daughter is two and a half years old and she could have gone to school this September if only she was potty trained, I said to myself that I was going to potty train her over the summer break but she’s just not ready. She won’t sit on the potty, she doesn’t really say when needs to pee or poop, and she doesn’t say that she has a dirty diaper. If I don’t smell it or change her frequently she would be fine to just sit in her dirty diaper all day.
People told me that girls were easier to potty train than boys but I’m not seeing any truth in this, my son would at least sit on the potty my daughter just refuses, she will cry and scream if you even suggest it so I don’t.
I bought her some underwear to wear but she goes through them so fast that I’m beginning to see that I need much more than 20.
Slowly but surely we’ll get there so I’ll be trying not to stress too much about this.
Other than potty training woes we didn’t really do much or go anywhere.
The Village
We’ve been to The Village before, several times in fact but not frequently so we took the kids there so they could run around in the play area and have some summer fun.
After the children played we visited The Waffle Factory which is a restaurant that serves only waffles. I got waffles covered in white chocolate and Naveen got waffles and whipped cream. My husband had waffles covered in milk chocolate. Oyanie refused to eat any of the waffles and choose to drink all the lemon water instead. The waffles were a bit difficult to cut especially with the flimsy wooden fork and knife they gave us. Marvin was in the middle of cutting his waffle when his fork snapped. I joked and said he used all his muscles on it.
The Aquarium
Going to the aquarium has been a dream of mine since moving here and we finally got to go.
We decided to go in the afternoon, the drive there probably took us half an hour and we spent two hours vising all that tanks and watching short movies, Naveen and Oyanie seemed to have really enjoyed themselves and Naveen made sure to tell me all about the fishes he saw and the sharks were one of his favorites to see.
Naveen was really excited when he saw a Blue Tang, he told me he saw Dory but no Neemo, a couple of tanks over I spotted a clownfish swimming in and out of an anemone and pointed it out to him when he yelled out Mami look Neemo! it made me really happy that he could see these fish in person.
Pool time
Since we are not near to any beaches and were not planning of traveling to one this year we made do with going to my in-laws and enjoying their pool.
Both of my children love the water and do not want to leave the pool anytime they get in it. Naveen definitely got a sun tan with all his sun exposure while swimming around with my husband’s cousins as well as their own cousins.
Back to School
Back to School for us was on September 1st. Naveen is in CM1 which is the French equivalent to 4th grade. Oyanie and I had to wake up early to take him to school, pick him up for lunch, drop him back after lunch, and pick him up after school.
It was the worst experience of my life, there were so many people jammed in front of the gate all trying to force their way in to drop their children off. I felt very uneasy with people stepping over the stroller or standing right up against my back, someone even touched my butt and I hated every second I had to spend waiting in that crowd of bodies.
The second day I decided I would leave the stroller home and we’d just walk until it was lunchtime Oyanie said her feet were “fatigués” which sounded like fatigee to my ears. I thought that if she was so tired I’ll just use the stroller next time but she refused so we walked again after school she was really tired and I got the stroller out which she did not like at all. Oyanie, when she doesn’t get a chance to nap, is a monster, she screamed, she cried, she threw things, I thought for sure she would sleep in the stroller but she did not and I don’t know how to include a nap into our busy schedule. If I let her nap after we drop Naveen off after lunch I’ll have to wake her up during her nap and she hates that just as much.
I really hope I won’t have such a busy schedule next week because we both need her to have her afternoon nap.
The 2nd week
The 2nd week went by much more smoothly, we don’t use the stroller at all anymore but sometimes I wish we did, when Oyanie’s little legs get tired of walking or she stumbles and falls she wants me to pick her up and carry her on my hips and walk is a workout, when we finally reach home my whole body is sore, my shoulders ache, my back ache, my legs ache, I know she won’t go in the stroller even if I bring it though. I have also gotten used to not having to try to find space to push the stroller through.
My baby absolutely loves picking up her brother at school, she gets to walk on her own, she points out all the airplanes she sees, they are her favorites, she gets really excited when she sees one in the sky and will scream with joy and point at it. She also likes stopping to smell the flowers and picks one every chance she gets, she almost always ends up dropping it before we reach the school when Naveen finally walks out the gate she runs up to him and hugs him saying “Vee-veen!”.
I am unimportant from that point forward, she wants to hold her brother’s hand, run with him, follow him, play with him, she wants to do everything with him, unfortunately, Naveen is hitting pre-teen years which means he doesn’t always want to be with his baby sister. He will ignore her, not hold her hand or tell her to leave him alone and it breaks her heart. She cries so much when does that and then she finally remembers me and comes to me for comfort.
I remember those days so well from my own youth, my sisters frequently pushed me to the side and made me feel unwanted, I had my brothers though and I made sure never to make them feel like I didn’t want them around. I can’t force Naveen to play with his sister though, he will be nine and I recognize and understand that he needs his personal space. Still, I also recognize that with only two children they are pretty much the only close family either one will have and Oyanie just wants to spend time with her brother. I have not yet figured out a way to navigate this turbulent sea. My mother never forced my siblings and me to play together but sometimes I wished she had, maybe it wouldn’t have taken us so long to finally get along.
J’ai découvert cette campagne sur le site Trnd et j’ai immédiatement postulé car j’étais toujours à la recherche d’une bonne serviette hygiénique mais malheureusement je n’ai pas été retenue, cela ne m’a pas empêché de les tester, je me les suis achetées sur Amazon et elles sont arrivées juste à temps pour que je puisse les tester pour ma prochaine règle.
Je suis le genre de personne qui aime bénéficier d’une protection supplémentaire pendant son cycle menstruel, je n’aime pas les fuites et je déteste les taches car, soyons francs, acheter de bons sous-vêtements n’est pas donné.
J’espère un jour acheter des sous-vêtements menstruels mais il m’en faut plusieurs paires et ils sont chers si on considère qu’une paire de sous-vêtements menstruels coûte 27,50€ et que je paye 3,47€ pour un paquet de 20 serviettes alors j’achète un sous-vêtement contre 8 mois de serviettes. Pour être vraiment efficace, il me faudrait 5 paires de sous-vêtements menstruels, ce qui représente 137,50 € et, franchement, je n’ai pas le budget pour cela, c’est pourquoi je paie 3,47 € pour des serviettes.
Mais ils se paient d’eux-mêmes…
Je suis au courant, mais comme je l’ai déjà dit, je n’ai pas le budget pour cela et cela n’a aucun sens pour moi d’acheter une paire par mois, car j’achèterai alors des sous-vêtements et des serviettes hygiéniques, ce qui va à l’encontre du but recherché. Une situation difficile dont je ne vois pas comment sortir.
Je sais aussi qu’il existe des coupes menstruelles, mais l’idée me répugne et je n’irai jamais dans cette voie.
Ultra Regular+ avec des ailes
Je viens de les utiliser pour mes règles et je peux dire que je ne les trouve pas différents de mes serviettes habituels. Le sac indique « Ultra Regular Plus », ce qui, à mon avis, signifie qu’elles sont plus grandes, mais elles sont toujours de la même petite taille.
Ce que j’aime, c’est que pour les jours légers, elles fonctionnent très bien, elles sont confortables, pas d’odeur de parfum horrible, pas de démangeaisons, elles font le travail, mais pour les jours plus lourds, elles ne sont pas suffisantes. J’ai dû utiliser les serviettes de nuit pour le jour et la nuit.
Ultra Goodnight Large avec des ailes
Je viens de les utiliser pour mes règles et je suis satisfaite du produit.
Ces serviettes hygiéniques sont beaucoup plus grandes que celles de ma marque habituelle, ce qui me plaît beaucoup. J’ai dû les utiliser pendant la journée parce que je m’assois, je me tiens debout et je m’allonge parfois pendant ma routine de faute et j’ai besoin d’une protection pendant tous ces mouvements et les serviettes plus petites ne font pas l’affaire. Je n’ai eu aucune fuite avec celles-ci et elles étaient
En fin de compte, je pense que je rachèterai uniquement l’Ultra Goodnight Large avec des ailes.
Lorsque j’ai visité le site pour sélectionner mon soin bonne mine, je ne savais pas qu’il y avait deux teintes au choix. Abricot comme j’ai eu et Acajou.
La teinte abricot est destinée aux tons de peau allant de clair à moyen et la teinte Acajou aux tons de peau allant de moyen à foncé.
Lorsque j’ai réalisé que j’avais le choix entre deux teintes, j’ai eu peur d’avoir choisi la mauvaise pour ma peau mais lorsque j’ai reçu le colis, j’ai immédiatement essayé la crème hydratante et j’ai trouvé qu’elle correspondait parfaitement à ma peau.
Cette crème hydratante a un léger parfum d’abricot que je trouve très agréable, elle s’applique et se fond dans la peau facilement sans laisser de sensation grasse derrière elle.
Après avoir utilisé cette crème hydratante, je retrouve un éclat sain qui dure toute la journée.

En avril, j’ai eu l’occasion de tester deux nouveaux produits de Nivea.
J’ai testé la crème visage Anti-Taches Luminous 630 et la crème mains Anti-Taches Luminous 630.
L’été est arrivé à grands pas et je suis éternellement reconnaissante d’avoir eu ces deux produits dans mon sac à main.
J’ai reçu la crème pour le visage Anti-Spot Luminous 630 de Nivea. J’utilise cette crème depuis trois mois et je n’ai pas remarqué d’amélioration de la texture de ma peau. L’odeur légère est à peine détectable et elle pénètre rapidement dans la peau. Je n’ai pas non plus remarqué d’éclaircissement de mes taches solaires pour le moment.
La crème n’est pas grasse, ne laisse aucun résidu et s’applique bien sur la peau. Je vais continuer à utiliser ce produit et je ferai le point sur mes progrès lorsque le tube sera vide.
J’ai également eu l’occasion de tester la crème pour les mains Luminous 630, comme la crème pour le visage, la crème pour les mains a un parfum très léger qui est agréable, elle n’est pas grasse et pénètre rapidement dans la peau. Je n’ai pas remarqué d’éclaircissement des taches solaires sur mes mains. Je vais continuer à l’utiliser pour ses bienfaits protecteurs.

Since I’ve adopted my current hair routine I haven’t found much use for leave-in conditioners. They are often lightweight and do not provide the hold I require for my curls.
This purchase was purely based on curiosity and I can safely say that this isn’t for me.
I can wash and condition my hair but if I skip the mousse and gel and use this leave-in instead my hair is frizzy by the second day. I don’t mind my frizz, but I prefer my curls stick around for a week without falling flat the next day.
Also, the scent is not at all my favorite, it smells like a man’s cologne and I really don’t enjoy the fact that the smell lingers for days.
I usually leave my hair in a wash and go for a week and then rewash my hair but when I use this I quickly put my hair in a puff or bun. I don’t like how my hair smells or feels when using this product and quite frankly I am regretting this purchase.
No reason a second day Wash and Go should look like this.
I even attempted to use it in my daughter’s hair because when products don’t work as well in my hair they work beautifully in hers. She has a coarser and kinkier texture than I do but even in her hair it was not very good and I won’t use it again in her hair. The very next day after using it, her hair was very dry and not as pliant as it usually is.
I will just accept that creams and Wash and Go do not mix especially if I am interested in my Wash and Go lasting for the whole week.
J’ai finalement terminé mon pot de gummies et je peux attester du fait j’ai eu moins d’acné pendant les deux mois où j’ai pris les gummies.
Ma peau avait un éclat sain et était hydratée.
Mes premières impressions
Lorsque j’ai reçu ces gummies; il était indiqué d’en manger deux et les gummies étaient durs et moelleux ! J’ai eu du mal, mais j’ai reçu un mail qui disait de les laisser reposer dans la bouche pendant un certain temps avant de les mâncher. En suivant ces instructions, je me suis senti beaucoup mieux.
J’ai définitivement constaté des améliorations de ma peau et pour la première fois depuis longtemps, je n’ai pas eu de boutons pendant mes règles !
J’achèterai à nouveau une fois que j’aurai terminé ce pot et re le recommande à tous ceux qui cherchent à améliorer la qualité de leur peau de manière saine.

In my father’s case, because he was adopted and we don’t know much about his family, matches on the X are pretty helpful for me.
In my case they aren’t very useful because I have two Xs and any match on my X will need thorough research to figure out which side of the family this match comes from. I inherited an intact X from my father which is a recombination of his mother’s mother and her father. I also got a recombined X from my mother. Let’s take a little look into what this will look like in terms of DNA relatives.

As you can see, I share 50% DNA with my father including the X.
We have different Maternal Haplogroups.
Even though we share an X we don’t have the same Maternal Haplogroups because it is inherited strictly from the mother. My Maternal Haplogroup is L1b which came from my mother, her mother, her mother, and so forth. My father’s Maternal Haplogroup came from his mother.
Matching with my maternal aunt.
This match is my maternal aunt and as you can see I share 25% DNA with her including an X, in case you didn’t notice it’s not an intact X because I inherited DNA that my aunt didn’t.
Sharing the same Maternal Haplogroup.
Because this is my maternal aunt, the fact that we share the same Maternal Haplogroup tells me that she shares the same mother as my mother. I can also look at the number of cMs we share and 25% indicates a full aunt meaning she shares both parents with my mother.
Matching with my mother’s first cousin.
Here’s my match with my mother’s first cousin, we don’t share an X because he inherited his X from his mother and I’m not related to his mother. This tells me that I’m related through his father who was the brother of my grandmother.
We don’t share the same Maternal Haplogroup.
The interesting thing about this cousin is the amount of DNA we share. I thought I had just inherited more DNA from my grandmother than I thought but I recently learned that my grandparents were possibly related. I have not found any actual evidence that this is true but like most Islands Dominica is small and it shouldn’t surprise me that there could be some endogamy going on.
